Toffee's Entertainment

Entertaining adults is a lot of fun, seeing what people are happy to do, or get volunteered into doing! However, entertaining children provides the most fun of all. Toffee's offers a style of entertainment that is both silly and funny, but also quite targeted and responsible too.

With a perspective garnered through work as a high school and primary school teacher, as well as an informal educator, Toffee's performances seek to provide more than just entertainment for Sydney's children. We see a birthday party as a setting where peer relationships form and develop and where personal attributes are tested and shaped.

Sometimes, a child may be timid to begin with, then thoroughly involved a minute later. Others build on teamwork skills and refine their social skills. Overall, we believe that in making a party fun for everyone, by encouraging and supporting all the children, only positive effects can flow.

I'll never forget the grandparent of a child whom I entertained at a party at Clontarf Beach. Aroound halfway through the performace - I believe I was a caped Superhero of some sort - I was advising the kids of some vital tips when being a Superhero goody. Out came a random one-liner, obviously not meant for the kids: "...and lastly, dont forget to invest in a managed fund!" To my surprise, on of the kids, happy to go along with everything the hero says, muttered "okay!" What was even more of a suprise is that when I entertained the same kids the following year, the granddaddy came up to me, took my arm gently and said, "you know, after your show last year, I actually went out and got each of the kids a investment fund!"
